The Internet is a wonderful tool for information gathering and for us to project our message.
We aim to be competitive in the market but don’t claim to be the cheapest - often the cheapest price is not what it might seem!
If you live in our vicinity and you've seen a discounted price on the Internet for a stove that we sell, call us or e-mail and whilst we can't promise to beat or match it, we'll see how close we can get.
You won’t see prices on our website because we don’t sell online. In fact, in common with a number of our suppliers (see Stove Industry Alliance link at the foot of this page), we don’t regard the Internet to be a suitable place to purchase a fireplace or certainly, a multifuel stove. It is simply not appropriate to buy this type of product at a distance.
Consider what might happen if you have a problem with an Internet purchased stove - is someone from the North of England going to be happy to resolve a problem for a customer in the South of England? Buying a stove online is not like buying your weekly groceries online.
There is no substitute for face-to-face contact and this is where your local retailer plays an important part.
Almost daily, we have people come into our showrooms asking us to sort out problems with their Internet purchased stove and/or flue. In many, many of these cases, we discover that an entirely inappropriate stove has been purchased and the flue is not suitable.
A multifuel stove is a joy to own and live with but if proper advice is not given or it is not installed correctly, it can be a disaster and possibly, dangerous. Most people wouldn’t consider the possibility of D.I.Y. fitting a gas appliance, so why would anyone consider self-fitting a woodburning or multifuel stove without the necessary Building Regulations compliance?
